PERKEMBANGAN ETNIS JAWA DI KOTA BANDA ACEH, 1945-2015

Abstract

After independence in 1945 the Dutch labor force sent to Aceh no longer left Aceh, they were Javanese. Although they chose to settle in Aceh, they did not abandon their very strong and strong cultures descended by their ancestors, despite the acculturation of culture. But until now the development of ethnic Jawadi Aceh, especially in the city of Banda Aceh since 1945-2015 continued rapid development. Based on the background, the researcher tries to study the development of Javanese ethnic in Banda Aceh City. This study aims to analyze the history of ethnic Javanese arrival in Banda Aceh and to describe the cultural alkuturation between the Javanese and the Banda Aceh peoples. The hypothesis in this study is that Java adalahetnis in Banda Aceh has developed in all respects including cultural alkuturation. The population in this study is all of Javanese in Banda Aceh City while the sample in this research is representative of Javanese ethnic that inhabit 3 (three) Gampong namely, Java Village, Gampong Kramat and Gampong Mulia.The method used is a qualitative method. Data collection was done by interview and documentation study. Data processing using data analysis techniques.The result of this research is Banda Aceh City is one of the multicultural areas in Aceh which is inhabited by several ethnic groups, both indigenous and immigrant. Non-Acehnese, such as ethnic Javanese, have settled for a long time, since the time of Sultan Iskandar Muda until the time this research took place. The development of Javanese ethnic in Banda Aceh 1945-2015 can not be separated from the involvement of government and other stakeholders. The Acehnese cultural heritage of the Javanese ethnic community in Kota Banda Aceh has been in progress for a relatively long time. There are several aspects of tradition, customs, and cultural works of Aceh that were part of Javanese culture in Banda Aceh City in 1945-2015.
