Only 4% of thyroid carcinoma (TC) patients develop bone metastases, which makes them poorly understood but still significantly increases morbidity and mortality. Clinical therapy and rehabilitation might be seriously affected by bone resorption forced on by thyroid cancer. A 58-year-old woman came with complaints of pain in her right groin 5 months before hospital admission. Previously the patient had a history of slipping about 1 year ago and caused walking difficulty. In addition to pain in the groin, the patient feels that his heart is beating frequently, gets tired easily, loses weight, accompanied by hair loss which is felt for about 6 months. Further examination revealed low TSH with Plummer history and also suspected right and left thyroid masses (TIRADS 4). Thyroid scan examination showed cold nodules on both thyroids and bone scan examination found metastatic lesions with pathological fractures in the neck of the right femur accompanied by C5-7 metastatic lesions. Instead of being simply the result of tumor invasion into bone, the pathophysiology of bone metastasis seems to represent a cooperative relationship between cancer and the bone microenvironment that results in a "destructive cycle" of bone degradation. Furthermore, follicular and medullary thyroid tumors are more likely to develop bone metastases, suggesting careful bone surveillance in individuals with these histology. Well-differentiated thyroid carcinoma has a median survival of only 4 years in the presence of bone metastases. Compared to local lymph node and lung metastases, bone metastases are frequently ignored and understudied. The osseous sites were the preferred sites for distant metastases in thyroid carcinoma linked to Plummer's disease because of their aggressive biological behavior. A missed bone metastasis at an initial diagnosis could have a negative impact on a patient's quality of life and prognosis, even if well-differentiated thyroid cancer is typically indifferent.
2024-08-06T17:35:54+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 ATHTHIB: Jurnal Ilmu Kedokteran dan Kesehatan Masyarakathttp://jurnal.naskahaceh.co.id/index.php/aththib/article/view/118COMPARISON OF SKELETAL MUSCLE MASS BETWEEN PHYSIOTHERAPY STUDENTS WITH MASKED OBESITY AND NORMAL2024-11-05T17:29:49+00:00Sayed Rahmat Aulias.aulia@gmail.com
A Comparison between Undergraduate Physiotherapy Students with Masked Obesity and Normal in Skeletal Muscle Mass. Masked obesity is defined as high body fat percentage with normal body mass index. High body fat may affect loss of skeletal muscle mass. The aim of this study was to compare skeletal muscle mass between students with masked obesity and non-masked obesity. This study was an observational study with cross-sectional design in 124 physiotherapy students. Body mass index, body weight, height, body fat mass, skeletal muscle mass and body fat percentage were evaluated using InBody 570 body composition analyzer. Independent t-test and Mann Whitney were used to compare body composition between students with masked obesity and non-masked obesity. Most (76.5%) of female students were masked obesity. Lower skeletal muscle mass was significantly observed in female students with masked obesity, but not in male students. Preventive and promotional strategies are required to counter the development of sarcopenia in individuals with masked obesity, especially women.
2024-08-06T17:36:08+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 ATHTHIB: Jurnal Ilmu Kedokteran dan Kesehatan Masyarakathttp://jurnal.naskahaceh.co.id/index.php/aththib/article/view/117EVALUATION OF BPJS PATIENT SATISFACTION LEVEL TOWARDS THE QUALITY OF DRUG INFORMATION SERVICES AT THE HAJIMENA COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER, SOUTH LAMPUNG REGENCY2024-11-05T17:29:50+00:00Emil Biayansyahnaemilbiyanshana@gmail.com
Evaluation of BPJS Patient Satisfaction Level on The Quality of Drug Information Services at Hajimena Puskesmas, Lampung Selatan Regency. Research on Evaluation of BPJS Patient Satisfaction Levels in the Pharmacy Installation of the Hajimena Health Center, South Lampung, aims to determine the satisfaction of BPJS patients and determine the completeness of providing drug information at the pharmacy installation of the Hajimena Health Center. This research was conducted with a non-experimental descriptive method. Data were collected by survey using the Cross-Sectional method. Assessment of satisfaction was obtained from the results of distributing questionnaires containing 5 dimensions of pharmaceutical services. The data analysis used the gap value of the average expectation and average performance, the percentage of patient satisfaction compliance, and Importance Performance Analysis. The number of samples in this study were 98 respondents. The results showed that the largest gap value in the reliability dimension was -1.36; the dimensions of form/display are -0.68; confidence dimension -0.34; the responsiveness dimension is -0.19 and the empathy dimension is -0.06 for the average percentage value of 88.12%. This shows that outpatients are satisfied with the services that have been provided by pharmacy officers, but the puskesmas needs to improve what the patient's expectations have not been achieved to improve the quality of pharmaceutical services.
2024-08-06T17:36:19+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 ATHTHIB: Jurnal Ilmu Kedokteran dan Kesehatan Masyarakathttp://jurnal.naskahaceh.co.id/index.php/aththib/article/view/116THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN KNOWLEDGE AND CLEAN AND HEALTHY LIVING BEHAVIOR AS A PREVENTION OF COVID-19 IN STUDENTS2024-11-05T17:29:52+00:00Muhammad Yassiryassir@gmail.ac.id
The Relationship Between Knowledge and Clean and Healthy Living Behavior as a Prevention of Covid-19 in medical students' class of 2019 at Muhammadiyah University, Jakarta 2020. Covid-19 is an acute respiratory infection caused by the sars-cov-2. It was first discovered in Wuhan, China in December 2019. The increased number of Covid-19 cases occurred rapidly in a short time. Quick action is needed because this virus can infect anyone regardless of age. WHO announced Covid-19 as a global pandemic on March 12, 2020. Data on Covid-19 in Indonesia as of December 15, 2020 was 629,429 confirmed positive cases, and 19, 111 people died. Efforts to control the spread of Covid-19 are not only the responsibility of the government, but also require the role of every element of society, one of which is by implementing PHBS (clean and healthy living behavior). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and clean and healthy living behavior as a prevention of Covid-19 in medical students class of 2019 at Muhammadiyah University, Jakarta in 2020. This research is an analytical descriptive study with a cross sectional design. Data was taken with online questionnaires collected from medical students class of 2019 at Muhammadiyah University, Jakarta. The medical students class of 2019 at Muhammadiyah University Jakarta have good knowledge and behavior regarding Covid-19 and Clean and Healthy Living Behavior as an effort to prevent Covid-19. There is no relationship between knowledge and Clean and Healthy Living Behavior in the prevention of Covid-19 in this study.
2024-08-06T17:36:31+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 ATHTHIB: Jurnal Ilmu Kedokteran dan Kesehatan Masyarakathttp://jurnal.naskahaceh.co.id/index.php/aththib/article/view/115EFFECTIVENESS TEST OF JACKPOT LEAF EXTRACT SPRAY FORMULATION (Artocarpus heterophyllus L.) AS Aedes aegypti MOSQUITO REPELLENT2024-11-05T17:29:54+00:00Farid Darmawan fariddermawan@gmail.com
Testing the Effectiveness of the Formulation of the Preparation of the Extract of Jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus L.) Leaves as a Reseller for the Aedes aegypti Mosquito. The Aedes aegypti mosquito is the main vector for dengue fever which is still a major health problem in Indonesia and can attack everyone from children to adults and can cause death. To know well and to know how much concentration of jackfruit leaf extract spray preparation is effective as a mosquito repellent Aedes aegypti. carried out for 30s to 6h after treatment and counted the number of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes that landed. Data were analyzed by Anova repeated steps. for 30s the 1% extract had an average value of 16.25%, the 5% extract had an average value of 52.53%, the 9% extract had an average value of 74.13%, while at 6h after treatment 14.52% on 1% extract, 49.64% on 5% extract, 65.23% on 9% extract. The positive control at 30s and 6h got an average value of 100% and the negative control at 30s and 6h had an average value of 0%, which means that the negative control did not have the ability to repel Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. The three formulations of jackfruit leaf extract (Artocarpus heterophyllus L.) had good organoleptic characteristics and none of these three spray formulations were effective as a repellent for the Aedes aegypti mosquito.
2024-08-06T17:36:48+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 ATHTHIB: Jurnal Ilmu Kedokteran dan Kesehatan Masyarakat
